Huava Fruit

Huava Fruit is a bunch of marble-sized berries that only grow within the Myrwood. Its considered a sacred fruit in Navoral and innately connected to the religious Ancestral Plane.

Description

Appearance

The fruit grows in small collections of berries that are the size of a marble, each of these bunches are picked as the whole bunch rather than individual berries. Each berry is a bright purple for the first year of its life, then it dulls to a grey-blue colour over the course of a decade.

Properties

Huava Berries can be imbued with a select few enchantments and are receptive to extra-planar magic. Huava Fruit seem not to decompose, but their properties become weaker the older the fruit is. When directly consumed the Huava have hallcinogenic properties that seem to transfer the conciousness to another plane, this plane could be random or directed depending on the individual.

History

The Huava Fruit was discovered in 395 AR by an elder among the Tal'Navoral Council, its properties were a mystery for many years until the Elder Mage Fyruk Granvier spent a decade researching the fruit and its properties.   By 420 AR, the Huava Fruit was being treated as a royal blessing upon the new ruler of Tal'Navoral. It has been said that the fruit was the thing given up to allow for the separation of Talvorak and Navoral.
