Abarin Flower

Abarin Flowers are a type of flower that is commonly crushed to create psychoactive substances and a well known drug called Black Vision. Black Vision is commonly taken brewed within a tea or as a fine powder. The flowers are known to grow within Xhen-dra but are claimed to originate from The Void.

Description

Appearance

When in bloom, the Abarin Flower has been descibed as a strange tentacle with large purple and black patterned petals that cover different parts of the stem. Some talk about these petals as if they are living tendrils that curl and unfurl with the wind.   The Abarin Flower is known to grow up from the roots of other trees and plants, taking their sustenance from these plants, acting as a parasite taking their lifeforce.

Effects

When taken as Black Vision, the user finds themselves overwhelmed with visions of a part of their history. Depending on the person's state, the user can find themselves overwhelmed with visions of their greatest fear or they can be filled with bliss of their greatest successes. While these visions are representative of a person's past, they're not always the truth of the matter, often they are representations of how the individual is reacting to their current situation.

I wonder who the first person to look at a creepy-looking flower and decide 'yep, going to put that in my mouth'. It does sound pretty. :)
