Olympian Gods

Hera

Disney often changes up characters taken from other sources, but there really was an ancient story of Heracles being reborn to Hera and being accepted as her son. This story existed alongside the more famous one of Hera tossing newborn Hephaestus from the top of Mount Olympus. If these pictures seem to contradict each other, it's only because Hera is more complex and interesting than most people realize.

Zeus

Zeus was the youngest child of Kronos. The beard was probably intended from the start to give him a greater appearance of authority over his older siblings.

Titans

Kronos

Silly Kronos. Calories don't work like that!

An Austin Powers reference? Yeah, baby!

Other Deities

Charon

Creatures

Cerberus

I have questions. Like, does one head control the body, or do they each take turns? And does Hades need to register three dog licenses or just one?

Chiron

Chiron was a master teacher of archery, music, astrology, hunting, and medicine. He must have turned out some fine field medics, but everyone always focuses on the fighters.

Medusa

Mortals

Achilles

Spoiler: He fights the river. This is a thing that happens.

Oedipus

Pandora

This is funny because there were no YouTubers in Pandora's time. Also because she famously released the world's most vexing problems. Thanks a lot, Pandora!   In the real Bronze Age, Pandora probably would have unsealed a clay jar rather than opening a box.
