Vedoraal

The Storm God

Vedoraal is the god of storms and war. Warriors and knights pray to him for his protection in coming battles, as farmers pray to him for rain for their crops. Sailors and vimahna pilots pray to his brother, Elzrava for protection again storms brought on by Vedoraal, so that they may have safe passage across the seas and skies respectively. Scriptures say that these two brothers, Elzrava and Vedoraal, have been at war with one another for ages, and that their battles take the form of hurricanes which sweep through the Quatrica Islands, South East Atlantea, Highwind, and even the western coast of Almahna and the northern coast of Olympus. According to scripture, their rivalry stems from jealousy on the part of Vedoraal, as he wanted reign over the sea, not the sky. He is furious that Raanu chose Elzrava over him to govern the seas.

Elzrava is Vedoraal's older brother. It is said that they once got along, but when Raanu chose Elzrava for dominion over the sea, Vedoraal grew angry and vengeful against his brother.
