Torlea Bane

Torlea grew up in the Kingdom of Kyrnn, which isn't easy for a tiefling. She was bullied for most of her childhood, but never gave in an inch. In fact, she didn't even try to get revenge. Instead, she spent countless hours watching soldiers practice. She wasn't allowed to join the army, nor did she have any inclination to fight for a country that treated her as it did. But she quickly became a skilled fighter and was able to take on only jobs she respected.
When she first found the Order of the Onyx Knight, she was 15 years old and impressed everyone with her skill, with with the blade and her ability to avoid combat when possible. Within the order, she found the will to hone her abilities without any prejudice. Those in service to The Onyx Knight are valued for how they live up to their ideals, not their past or their lineage. As she rose through the ranks, she held onto those belives.
When the former Divine General died in 1357, Torea was elected to take their place. Her devotion is apparent to everyone, but she has also made some enemies along the way. There are several groups and families who have remained dedicated to the Order for centuries. But Torlea has ignored or even blocked their status. She will only allow someone's personal merits to weigh into their position. This has changed how the order operates somewhat and has cost it dearly in terms of finance and diplomacy.

Torlea is always clad in her vestments. This means either black plate armour or black leather armour with a red tabard. Those who have seen her in bed say she wears symbols of her goddess no matter what.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Torlea is one of the youngest in several centuries to become an instructed within the Order. She is also one of few who have taught both negotiation and combat. She takes great pride in using exactly the amount of force needed and never more.

Failures & Embarrassments

Her strict policies on promotions have ended up costing herself prestige as they have backfired. Torlea stands by her policies, but not even she can completely dismiss the negative effects they have has on the Order.
