To most people, he is the no-nonsense but friendly proprietor of the Rusty Gauntlet in Jolethai. His clientel is of the rougher sorts, but rarely ouright criminal.

Guthin was born and raised in Jolethai and has seen no reason to move anywhere else. Since so much trade passes through, he figures that the rest of the world is coming to him anyway, so why should he have to go there?
In his youth, Guthin made a name for himself because how he would stand up to people thrice his size if needed. This is why his tavern is only rowdy for as long as he's prepared to deal with it.
Guthin married in 1334 and has three children together with his husband Fedelin Bolster. The oldest two works at the tavern alongside Guthin.
Morality & Philosophy
As long as everyone knows the terms and no one dies, Guthin is ok with almost anything. Some things he doesn't care for himself, but he never judges. At most, he tries to make a bit of coin out of it.
