Scope
The motivation behind building Liminal Chronicles
Organize the worldbuilding for my series, Liminal Chronicles urban fantasy set in modern mythological Japan.
The goal of the project
Help to organize and track what I've created and provide inspiration for new stories. It's also a fun way to share little extras and side stories with my readers.
Liminal Chronicles's Unique Selling point
Liminal Chronicles is my "gateway to Japan" for while I'm not able to be in the country and a fun excuse to dig into mythology.

You'll notice:
Magic always feels like it's just around the corner. It's available to all, but uncommon due to Western ideas about it not being scientific and the difficulties to break through to use it.
The characters you meet are all more than they seem.
Liminal Chronicles doesn't shy away from societal issues.
Reader Tone
From the alignment of Liminal Chronicles ranges from Noblebright to Neutral. As an author I truly believe in a person's ability to change, to turn over a new leaf. But not everyone will take that path.
Recurring Themes
You'll see themes of redemption, love, sacrifice, determination, choices having profound consequences, and found family.
Character Agency
Blazing one's own path in Japan is difficult. Characters have to work hard to make a way that isn't the expected one. But once they manage it, their choices have lasting impacts.
Inspiration
The world of Liminal Chronicles brings in and builds on Japanese mythology and folklore. While this setting does not represent "actual Japan", the author does her best to respect and show her love for the Japanese culture in this "world". Departures from Folklore and Culture describes where the author has chosen to deviate from real world Japan to create Liminal Chronicles.
