Personality
Loving mother who continues to support her children so they can do well in life. The last thing she did was connect Hoji with a maid to keep his apartment clean while he is busy with his research grant.
She doesn't put up with guff and feels that people have better things to do than play tricks others.
Adaptability. Unlike some her age, she's kept up with the times. Even owns a cellphone.
She has difficulties letting go of grudges.
Sometimes, she can be a helicopter parent.

She collects Noh masks to the point of obsession.

Adores cherry blossom season
Being in the Festival of the Ages in Kyoto each year. She models the courtesan apparel from the Heian period and has the walk for the high shoes down pat. She helped organize the first Jidai Matsuri.
Teaching history at a local community college. She references many of her own stories from the Heian period on.
Milk products (She's lactose intolerant and doesn't like taking what she perceieves as unnecessary medications.)
When her people marry outsiders.
