The Risklin society revolves around the work of the crystal tuners. Not only do the cystal tuners run the risklin coming of being ritual and the buiding of the risklin krystal skif, but they also teach and bring other risklin into the circle of crystal tuners through the crystal tuner confirmation ceremony.
The ceremony is similar in many ways to the risklin coming of being ritual. A risklin who has proven themselves tuned with the krystals and the magic provided by the krystals will be pointed out by the crystal tuners and given the opportunity to join them. Some risklin turn down the opportunity as they like the work they do. Others accept the process to join the clergy.
The ceremony consists of 10 crystal tuners and the candidate. They imbue power into the candidate and will feed the candidate a different type of exceedingly rare krystal during the ceremony. Should the candidate survive the jarring and wrenching transformation, they will be crystal tuners.
From there, the new crystal tuner will study with an existing crystal tuner for 3-5 years, learning the various ceremonies, learning to identify the various type of Wasted Crystal that exist throughout the Nevisent Wastes, learning how to harvest crystals, and learning to build the risklin krystal skif to be used by the populace.
The survival rate of the ritual is around 80%.
