risklin krystal skif

Built from the metals found among the Nevisent Wastes, the risklin krystal skifs are built by the crystal tuners and other craftsmen to provide a way of traversing the wastes quickly, and with great amounts of cargo.
The skifs appear as large metal rafts whose bottoms are covered with thousands of cystals of different colors. Tall railing surround the top like a fence. Near the back are two stearing balls, opperated by one or two members of the crew. The balls control the magic of the vessel, and the crew interact via magic with the steering balls. Manual control is also possible if needed, and a trained member of another race can operate the skifs without issue.
The skifs use raw and tainted magic to fly, hover, levitate, move, and maneuver. They have a top flight altitude of about 1000 feet (300 m) and normally cruise 20-50 meters off the ground, and higher over nastier terrain. They have a top speed of about 40 mph fully loaded.
In addition, the skifs can be used outside of the wastes. As the magic of the wastes comes from the same sources as the magic of the rest of Karenth, the skifs are powered by the relationship of the magics in the area, and also maintain 3 to 5 hours of magic charge at all times, keeping themselves charged without outside intervention.
The skifs are roughly 10-20 feet wide and 40-50 feet long. The deck sits about 8-10 feet off the ground when parked, and can go from parked to moving in under 2 seconds, with maximum speed in about 10 seconds. Their appearance is standard, although smaller skiffs are used by some crystal tuner groups, and large skif barges capable of hauling 10-20 times as much exist, but their numbers are few, perhaps 3-5 of them in the whole wastes.
None of the skifs at this point have ever left the wastes under the control of any party.
