Bird
Bird was a winged angel who Fell in 1951 to a farmstead a little ways north of Lizard Point, in Cornwall. For a period of time, he assisted lifeboat operations there, flying to look for ships run aground and/or floundering swimmers until he was caught in a storm and dashed onto rocks, where he sustained several broken bones in his left wing particularly, and significant muscle strain.
As complicated as these injuries were, they took several months to heal and multiple surgical interventions to ensure the bones healed correctly, after which Bird was never comfortable flying for long periods, particularly over bodies of water.
He moved between several careers until the late '70s, where he began to work as a sex worker, particularly for merfolk in and around Portishead. He later took a position with Avram Burlac at Toothsome Delights, where he has worked since.
