Cabinet of Curiosities 2024
Inevitably while writing a world as large as Isekai has become, some areas and templates have been overlooked in favor of getting other bits of lore finished and fleshed out. Items are definitely one place that we've been lacking, even though we have written a handful of special artifacts that have either appeared in campaigns or are referenced in the deep history of the world. This challenge gives us a great way to finish some stubs and add common items to the world that still mean a lot, but don't necessarily require the in-depth look that some artifacts do.
As has been my goal with all challenges for the last couple of years, the Cabinet of Curiosities challenge will focus on squashing stubs, of which there are at least 21 item stubs waiting for me to put ideas to the screen and give them life. Most of these items are currencies from around the world that Shiftrex established in the various kingdoms articles he has written over the last year.
Other items that might appear throughout the challenge are a variety of foods that are important to some of the cultures throughout the world and a handful of different alcohols that have become far too important to a Bard in our current campaign. I am also using this time to edit some existing item articles and working through Catoblepon's stubout challenge!
