Sigea are cat-like creatures that thrive in cold enviroments. They are depredators that will try to hunt and eat whatever they can find even though they do not need food to survive as their energy to live come from magic.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They are white small quadrupedal animals covered in long soft fur. Their faces while adorable when having their mouth closed, hide long canine teeths that grow in size once the mouth is open until they are about 10cm long. Their eyes' colours can be yellow or blue, their ears are short and rounded, sitting at the top of their heads, and they have many long whiskers.

Their tails are made of bones, no meat or fur is found in them and they are purely staying in place with magic. Their tail tip ends in a hook form and they use this to break ice and try fish in the ice holes they make.

Genetics and Reproduction

Sigea reproduce between Ghenthas to Topthas. During this time, males are attracted to females by the hormones they secrete during their heat (which occurs every a couple of weeks for three - four days, but only during these months), and will fight other males to be able to reproduce with the female. The female will reproduce with multiples males during these days because they do not always get pregnant with the first male. A female will birth a litter with 1 to 6 kittens after a 3 months pregnancy.

Habitat

Originally from Ashtara, the Sigea have arrived Iphars with portals and find its way to Liansem where they now live and thrive.

Ashtara

In Ashtara, they are known for all the kills of Melgent. They are hated because of their merciless nature and their blood-thirst. Many tales to scare off children involve Sigea.

They have been big problems to Melgent and the towns that were in cold enviroments as they have been the cause for most deaths.

Growth stages

• Kitten: newborn kittens will be take care by their mother for the first 2-3 weeks of their life. Their first week is rough, being blind and their fur too thin to survive the cold. They depend on their mother for heat and will only get energy from magic.
• Puberty: The next month or two of their lives, the kittens will be shown how to hunt and how to survive on their own. Once they reach sexual maturity (at 5-6 months old) they will leave their mother and live on their own.
• Adult: They live on their own, only meeting other Sigea when they have to mate. They will live like this for about 15 years.

Dietary needs

The Sigea are carnivorous animals that magic evolved to be able to survive with only magic as energy source. While they have been able to survive with magic for centuries, that never changed their blood-thirst and still hunt for pleasure and afterwards they eat the prey.

They will hunt whatever moves in their territory (sometimes even other Sigea) without caring their enemy size. They are know for not fearing and for willing to fight to death if needed.
