Larvaes celebrate their birthdays with handicrafts and animal games. It is celebrated not for each individual but for each group of individuals that were born the same month.

Execution

The day is divided in 4 periods:
  • The gratitude: early in the morning, the raveru gather with their nearest family members and thanks them for everything they have done to the raveru. It usually do not extend over two hours.
  • The animal games: every participant wear a mask that represents the animal their are more identified with, and do some games with animals or games related with animals, such as stretch the cord or feed the hidden animal.
  • The handicraft of masks: everyone start crafting masks. Materials for the mask are always around in excessives quantities. The raveru do not show their mask until the end of the day.
  • The dinner: a feast is celebrated in name of the raveru. While eating, the shoru say the faeru to each raveru, and then each raveru empty their minds, telling each bad thing that has appeared in their mind and also each good thing. After the eating and the speeches, the raveru show the mask they have done.

Participants

The participants of the ceremony can be divided in three groups:
  • The raveru: they are the ones that in that were born in that month.
  • The shoru: they are the Heralds of Eone of the village, and one of the parents of the raveru (selected by the Heralds of Eone the organizers of the event.
  • The perdaru: they are the perople of the village that do not participate as birthday nor are the organizers of the event.

History

This ceremony seem to have been around since always. Documents, and tales always talk about this ceremony, never a different one.
