The Laws of Iatar
The fundamental difference between Iatar and Earth is the base nature of The Chaos. The Chaos brings about not just the creation of the World, but also beings made of Chaos. Mortals have The Chaos coursing through their souls, and in all cases, The Chaos can be manipulated. However it is manifested, The Chaos can be bent to one's will, though by nature it is unpredictable, and should not be depended upon fully to cooperate.
Cosmology
In the beginning, there was only The Chaos. In it's raw form, it is untamed, and volatile. At times, it manifested itself into sentient beings, some more powerful than others. It was this way that the Titans were born. Beings of pure Chaos, these 5 Titans were the most powerful that had been manifested in all of existence. The first among them, Dracaris, brought them together to create a place in which to live, and so they willed into being the world of Iatar, bending the Chaos into solid form. So great was their control of The Chaos, that they wove for themselves each a people to live within the world they had created, and to fulfil their purposes.
Principal Geography & Features
The material world of Iatar looks familiar for the most part, having been subject to the Order of Skjorvir for almost three millennia. However, being that the world was made of The Chaos, and that Chaotic Beings strode the surface of Iatar for thousands of years, waging unbridled war upon each other, the very world is warped. There are many places where you can see the effects of such wars, and what would be considered extraordinary geographic phenomena on Earth can be expected throughout Iatar with some regularity.
Most notably is the fact that this surface-level regularity is held in delicate balance by a single God, Skjorvir. Should anything happen to him, the consequences would be calamitous to say the least.
Initial Active Setting
The active setting within Iatar is the continent of Faenir, one of the major continents on the world of Iatar. It has been the site of many impactful events from history, and thus there is significant latent power in the deep places of Faenir.
