Madiba'Tariq
Everyone traveling by Aleibara will always remember the first time they set sight on Bahrid — a settlement at the edge of the Shibh peninsulas cliffs breaks the flat horizon making way for the first glimpse of snow and ice while the Rakibhut circle the ferry guiding them to the safe harbour. A combination of rocky nests, shelters made of sticks and snow and homes made of wood warmly greets its visitors.

Atmosphere over Climate
The chilled air blowing through the icy streets does nothing to hamper the warmth and excitement that the local Pingus have for each other and every visitor. Flippers amass wave through the air, enthusiastic honks carried by the wind reach far and wide, around a big huddle at the large meeting circle a cloud of steam invites outsiders in to catch their breath and come up to temperature. The atmosphere disspells the frigid conditions hold on the visitors. The artistic community buildings compose the skyline of Madiba'Tariq. Their unique shapes makes it easy to navigate your way to them; one can choose to go through the narrow icicled passages of various neighbourhoods where chicks play 'slide' in the streets — the faster way is through a diverse overhead icepath network, also known as the highspeed highway. Here, Pingus bellyslide their way through the frostglazed aisles like tiny tuxedoed torpedoes blasting through the tunnels to their destination.Research Hub
Sitting at the very edge of Bahrid gives Madiba'Tariq one big advantage — it has the mildest climate out of the entire region. Throughout the year, the temperature averages around -35C with no ice storms making it the perfect place for a research base of operations just outside the residential area of town. Many universities work together to unlock the secrets of Bahrid and to understand life in the harsh conditions of the biome. The studies done at this hub spearheaded the development of cold-protection technologies such as smur-laced coats or the Zaytia process. Expeditions deeper into the whitecapped plains leave and return every month one step closer to implementing new ideas.I had just disembarked from the boat onto the docks of Madiba'Tariq, and my new flippery friend immediately waddles me through the city. "See that book-looking roof out there? That's the library, you should definitely visit there whenever you feel like escaping the world. Oh, and the globe looking roof is our foreign affairs building for trading, global politics, that kind of stuff. But most importantly, you should remember this roof.." is what he said when he dragged me in this pub. This city is a quiet one, but very friendly without an ounce of violence. If you have an issue and want to brawl it out, you can go to the little arena outside and ready yourselves for a slappening. But one thing I'll never forget is the moment stepping outside that pub. Little sparkles of light fly through the narrow streets, lighting up the passages even more under the dancing auroras.
'Here, Pingus bellyslide their way through the frostglazed aisles like tiny tuxedoed torpedoes blasting through the tunnels to their destination.' This is my new favourite thing. I wish I could travel like that.
