For 9 years, Pearl Beach has been awarded the Most Beautiful Town on the Island award by the Appolean Guild of Society. This is why the town sees the second majority of visitors the island gets, only for them to find it's high valued Inns and recreational fascilities.

History
Decade of Darkness
During the Decade of Darkness, Pearl Beach was mostly abandoned and reduced to ruin. The Vampiric Lord who ruled over Appley would visit the town often, for they had resided in Edgefell Keep.We suffered too! Why is it that Pearl Beach gets all of the praise for it's recovery from those dark days
Most Beautiful Town
Since the victory against the Dominions of the Night World, Pearl Beach was rebuilt into the prize of Appley it is today. 12 years ago the Appolean Guild of Society started the Most Beautiful Town award to encourage the town's elders to "spruce up and scrub up" their towns. Appley City won the first, with Eldalake winning the third; since then Pearl Beach has taken the reward. While many enjoy this competition, there are some who hold their criticisms. Allegations of corruption are thrown, particularly from the Vulmons of Vulmonston, though proof is yet to be found.Nobody can compete against the wonderful Pearl Beach. Eldalake, maybe, but Pearl Beach is the best.
