Chapter 11 AUTHORITY

As established earlier, Mankind has been given authority over the NAPOX and corresponding SUPOX. The complicating factor is this: authority is held collectively, not individually. The result, then, from the moment Mankind fell, is a perpetual struggle for control, power and supremacy. Whether a husband and wife struggle for control of their relationship or two nations fight over money, resources and power, it's the same dynamic playing out.
Then God said, “Let us make Mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” GENESIS 1:26 NIV
Once again, take a moment to note that when the devil, the serpent, moved into the area of the SUPOX connected to earth, he moved into an area where Mankind had been given God-given control.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” GENESIS 1:28 NIV
Authority is easily transferred, and the devil understands this better than most. Authority can be traded away, especially if a suitably enticing bounty is offered. Legitimate trade, then, was the means by which the devil acquired mankind’s authority, so he and his legions might exercise control on their behalf.
You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. … Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. EZEKIEL 28:14 & 16 NIV
Perhaps it seems absurd that mankind would sell their authority. In my opinion - that would be a reasonable assessment. It was absurd. It still is absurd. But when you understand this transaction suddenly much of the world makes sense; the mess that humanity has become is built on this trade.
…there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord… 1 KINGS 21:25 NKJV

For your iniquities you have sold yourselves, And for your transgressions your mother has been put away. ISAIAH 50:1 NKJV

For thus says the Lord: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money.” ISAIAH 52:3 NKJV
