Antony Reeve Story Maskelyne
Antony Reeve Story Maskelyne is a Senior Investigator with the Service. His scientific curiosity and education have proven highly useful. He has a particular interest in the nature of portals, with an emphasis on those occurring naturally.
History
A member of a distinguished family of scientists, Story Maskelyne studied at King's College under James Clerk Maxwell. When Maxwell resigned the Chair of Natural Philosophy to return to Scotland, he recommended Story Maskelyne as his successor. After the regents of the college decided to choose an older candidate instead, the Service approached Story Maskelyne.
While the initial expectation was that he would join the Research Division, Story Maskelyne proved to be more comfortable in the field than in the laboratory. There are some within the Service who hope that he will grow tired of dashing off to deal with whatever crisis demands his attention and accept the directorship of the Research Division, which could frankly use someone with his steady nature.
