The Metaphysical Reality: A Primer

There are two planes of existence: The physical and metaphysical. The physical is familiar enough, its the world around us. It has a distinct form and sets of rules that must be followed. The metaphysical is different. An infinite plane of infinite planes that has no form until perceived.

Everyone perceives the metaphysical world differently often based on what the mind and soul can handle and what those who rule their wish you to see. To witness these planes and the beings that reside within them in their true form would rend the mind at best and tear the soul beyond repair at worst.

The metaphysical is composed of layers, each is separate from the others and infinite in size. These layers are called domains and to physical beings appear to be other worlds beyond our own. A domain is a metaphysical plane that serves as the anthropomorphic nexus of an aspect of reality.

Neutral domains

A neutral domain is a domain that doesn't have a purview. It doesn't represent anything or governs a specific element of existence. Instead, a neutral domain is formed when a function if the universe is sorely needed, such as the shafts of outer heaven, where celestial beings go when they die to be reformed

Domain structure

The domain doesn't just represent its aspect of reality, It is that aspect. The domain of love is love given form. The beings within the domain actually cause love to exist in the physical world and often seek it out or seek to create it if they find themselves in the physical world. Domains are complex and each domain is made of layers much in the same way that a domain is a layer of the metaphysical reality.

Major and minor domains

A major domain gives form to a quintessential aspect of reality. They are broad strokes that seek to give form to broad elements in reality. love, good, evil, fire, water, life, death, etc.
Minor planes are "smaller" more specific domains and are usually altered or specified elements of the major domain they are a part of. Lust, for example, is a form of love, so is brotherhood and maternity. Ice is an element of cold and a solar domain is an alteration of heat and flame. A domain that is a specific form of a major domain is always considered minor despite being part of the major domain.

Demiplanes

a demiplane, often called pseudo-domains or god lands, are the individual domains of gods and titans . Every god and Titan has a place in their domain and this place is there to manipulate and shape as they see fit. These planes act as an extension of that divine entity and they act as the titans of that domain.
