Muddfoot

Terra infirma

I have little use for muddfoots. They don't even make good anchors.
Gwyndar Goff, Mouberian saltfoot, 1841 AoE

uddfoot is the Komon term for those who spend most of their time on dry land, for those who greatly prefer terra firma, or simply for those who specifically reside in muddwoods. The name was coined by saltfoots because many of their ports were situated in muddwood regions, but they have come to use the term for anyone who is not at sea - or even, anyone who is not acknowledged as a full-fledged saltfoot. Although saltfoots use the label for everyone on land, when it's spoken between layfolk it can be used to refer to only those who specifically reside in muddwood regions.
Pronunciation
MUDD-foot
