One of the oldest mixed ethnicities on the planet, the Roshani have been a cohesive culture for over two thousand years. They are native to the country of Roshan on the continent of Viretia, surviving a hostile combination of tornadoes and some of the hottest temperatures in the world. The culture is comprised of humans, shapeshifters, and dragons, though they are so intermingled that the majority of the Roshani have ancestors from all three species. Roshani culture and religion is rich and vibrant, a mixture of a large number of disparate groups that came together to heighten their chances of survival.
Roshani architecture is unique in that their buildings and settlements are almost entirely located underground. It has taken centuries of magical and technological innovation - and a lot of disasters - to get to where they are today.
