The Hutsai are the native inhabitants of Hutsaih, the nucleus of the Hutsai Empire. Historically a country of peaceful fisherfolk clustered around the delta of the Yanxia river, they are now known for their martial prowess and insatiable appetite for conquest. They are currently spread all over the north of the continent of Oyekos, their expansion only inhibited by the mountain range known as the Shards.
The Hutsai follow a polytheistic religion with an extensive pantheon, ruled over by the Father, the spiritual embodiment of the Yanxia river. The spark for the Hutsai Empire was ignited almost three hundred years ago when the then king claimed to have intense religious visions urging him to unite Oyekos under one banner.
