Merfolk of the Ilwyrikan Sea

The Aerach are merfolk that live in the waters of the Ilwyrikan Sea, south of Ilwyrika and to the north of Achia. They are silver-scaled with pale skin and hair.
They keep white seals as both pets and hunting companions, through development of a mutual bond. Though the seals disappear for mating season, they usually come back. If a seal does not return from mating season, the Aerach believe they have been called into the service of the Great Whale, the deity they believe rules the sea.
