Broadgate is a city on the coast of western Serukis, about a two day's ride from the capital city of Lord's Rock. With a population of around ten thousand people, it is made up of an inner city and an outer city. It is the seat of the Vasey family, who hold the title of Lord.
The inner city is surrounded by a wall of around eight metres high, and contains the two most important buildings in the city: Broadgate Castle, and Broadgate's temple of Faolan, known as the Orchard. The inner city is the oldest part of the city, and residences there are more spread out and built of finer material. The people that live there tend to be more well off.
The outer city is outside of the wall, and has been built to accomodate more people as the city has grown in population. The buildings here are pressed closer together and tend to be built with more haste and cheaper materials. Temples to the other four of the Five Lords can be found in the outer city.
