Boquīlle

A delta port

Boquīlle is the largest settlement on the island of Ospid, home to around ninety percent of its inhabitants - though this still is only around nine hundred people. It is located on the south side of the island, on the delta of the Sānge. Between the river and the ocean, the town is a hub of fishing and serves as the island's only port.   The majority of the buildings in Boquīlle are constructed from stone, as wood is a rare commodity on Ospid and generally saved for fishing boats; many wooden details found in the settlement have been fashioned from driftwood washed up on the island's beaches.

I’m guessing they must import wood for their fishing boats, or do they have access to someplace they can log periodically?

Ospid would import wood from Tenepid, where they also import much of their food from. :)

I wonder if they've ever thought to try and carve stone into a seaworthy boat!

I like to think someone has tried. XD
