Akara

The endless plains

Akara is one of the largest countries in the continent of Caia. Around half of the country is taken up by the Great Plains, an expansive mixture of grasslands and rivers, with several small pockets of forests. To the northeast of the country are swathes of thick forest, and to the southwest is a stretch of baking desert.
Akara is ruled by a monarchy, though the king's power is limited, especially in the Great Plains. Whilst the tribes that live on the Plains recognise the monarchy, they do not always follow the laws or respect the authority. Akara is part of the Kaienese Empire, which means a representative for the Emperor accompanies the king at all times.
