The History of Estya so far
Early Estyans lived with the balance of nature and magic, as opposed to combating it. Unbeknownst to modern Estyans, Estya spent the first five thousand years living in peace and coexisting. They lived simple lives, but did not strive towards greater power or greed. They lived in constant contact with the Mothers and
Ultimately, that all fell apart in the millennia after the Mothers made the decision to allow the Estyans to live and thrive without such direct influence from the goddesses.
From the ashes of conflict that nearly wiped out the Estyans, a select few who remained true to the peaceful intentions of the goddesses were chosen as the first Disciples. The Disciples were gifted with a raw form of light magic; more powerful, but more difficult to control; and were tasked with returning the world to a state of peace. Unfortunately, as more Disciples were ushered into the Order, their interpretations differed, and the original Disciples were usurped, executed, and the resulting schism between the "Old Order" and "New Order" gave birth to the Folatia Empire. Those who practiced the Old Order went into hiding not long after.
After nearly conquering all of Estya, the Folatia saw the loss of their most valuable soldier and Hell's Breach opened to swallow their armies. The Folatia Empire quickly splintered and fractured into the Ebonblade and Darkforge, who immediately declared war on each other.

Needs & Relations
The Ebonblade and Darkforge are currently at war and will actively capture or kill anyone attempting to cross the border for any reason, with few exceptions. A few diplomats and faction leaders have diplomatic immunity, and the leader of the Shadi Order has been known to toe the line of abusing this power.
The Silver Sands, Hell's Breach, Steel Mountains, and Arborlich currently have active trade routes with the Shadi Order, be they though land, sea, or smuggler's ship, they provide the critical materials and supplies that the Shadi Order has used to make itself into the powerhouse it is today.
