Kumarbi

A Hittite Diety

Kumarbi

Kumarbi is the biting god, the father of storm, and the bearer of legacy through resistance. A Hittite deity of depth and birth, he swallowed the sky to bring forth the new gods. He is pain turned to purpose, descent turned to creation.   Depicted with cracked stone skin and jaws strong enough to shear stars, he walks with the weight of what he has endured. His silence is fury contained, his shadow long with memory. Beneath him churns the chthonic womb of future gods.   His love is shaped by power and inheritance. He is drawn to those who endure and transform—who understand the price of legacy. With Kumarbi, intimacy is not tenderness—it is the forging of new worlds through pressure and pain.
