The Sphinx
The Sphinx was a kíndallan refugee during The First Age. She was charged by Zaragon with protecting the gates of the Zone Forbidden.
The inspiration for Earthling myths about a monster which devoured those who failed to answer its riddle, the Sphinx most often appeared as a winged figure with a human woman’s head and lioness’ body.
