Esther Young
Esther Young, later known as The Widow Silver, was the wife of Silas Silver VIII and the mother of Mary Silver, Elizabeth Silver, Sarah Silver, and Silas Silver IX.
For reasons she seemingly kept to herself, she was singularly obsessed with her son Silas siring a male child to continue the family line. Sadly, she died in 1864—a full 50 years before her son’s son was born.
