The Burgin Pact with George Washington
Secretly, after the signing of the Quartering Act of 1765, King George III chartered #The Dusk Order of the Crown(organization) granting the Drymenn Rhys Booth, a retainer and reputed ryukishi of Dark Lady Beatrice Clarke, the right to operate a clandestine magical order in North America for the preservation of the Lands in the name of the king.
The activity of the Dusk Order was discovered in 1774, and Noel Shaw, the Confessor of Arkham County founded the Blinded Angels to counter their mischief. He taught all the members the art of the Sword of Truth as a sign of their oath to truth.
Aernadael remained neutral in the conflict because they didn't see how the issue affected them.
Sister and Brother Rephaim, Elizabeth and Leighton Burgin, joined the cause and the Blinded Angels. In 1778, Elizabeth learned about the existence of the Culper Ring, and penned a letter to George Washington and Major Benjamin Talmadge to offer the services of the Blinded Angels directly to the cause. She signed the letter as Mercy Galbraith, which became her code name in the ring.
