The Ministry of Authority is the central and most powerful governmental body in Paneuropa. Its task is to deliver justice to the denizens of the City, as the Ministry doesn’t bother with the lower Castes.
According to the Corpo Rule, the Ministry of Authority has absolute control over the whereabouts and actions of the Collars and the 3rd and 4th levels of the Luminaries.
Since no electronics are able to function, all records are analogue, kept in the enormous Hall of Facts. The Facts are the result of meticulous surveillance of all citizens and inhuman interrogation techniques, implemented on the unfortunate ones who find themselves in the Ministry interrogation rooms.
The higher-level Ministry personnel consists of two groups: the Probers and the Arbiters. The first are responsible for the collection of information, while the second pass judgment based on that information. All rulings are issued to protect the
Conglomerate interests, so there is no place or reason for a defense advocate.
A high number of Red and Black
Collars work for the Ministry, and they, too, are distinguished from their fellow Caste members as being more duty-focused and detached.
