Ability Description

You harmonize your magic with another item item, giving it special properties depending on the kind of item it is or that it represents. To connect to the item, you must use this ability as a ritual, and doing so increases the cast time to two hours / a Short Rest, and you must be touching the item for the full duration. You can only bond with one item at a time.

While wielding the item, you gain the following effects, depending on the item. Certain items count as multiple kinds of items (such as Scepter, Staffs, and Wands being Weapons). For those, you use one effect of your choice. If you cannot decide or you are unsure, your GM is welcome to make a call based on their common sense.

  • Universal (all items gain this function): That item is considered a Casting Focus
  • Armor: You can wear that armor freely, and all detriments (disadvantages to stealth, speed limitations, etc) do not affect you. You do not gain its benefits to AC if you are not proficient in it, but you still gain the armor HP. You gain maximum HP equal to 1+ your character level while wearing the armor.
  • Rod, Scepter, Staff, or Wand: You can cast non-self spells from this item as long as it is up to 30 ft away from you, even if it is not wielded by you.
  • Ring or Wondrous Item The item can be used to replenish a spell slot or class feature of your choice (from you or an ally) a number of times per Long Rest equal to Half-Proficiency. It cannot be used on other feat/ures that replenish spell slots, aside from the Spell Recovery common feature.
  • Weapon: You are proficient in that weapon if you’re not already, and the weapon gains +5 ft of Reach⚙️ . If the weapon is on the same plane of existence as you, you may summon it to your hand using an action, blinking from where it was to you.

This can be used on Mundane or Magical items, retaining it's other benefits if it has any. That item becomes Magical, and gains all the benefits, and negatives, of being a magical item (i.e. ceasing function if subjected to Anti-Magic effects). Finally, That item does not take up an attunement slot.
