Your Spellcasting feature improves with your mastery. You can now cast certain spells effortlessly, being your signature spells.

You gain the Signature Spells common feature, which grants you specialized spell slots you can assign, and use, for your favorite spells.

Signature Spells

You’ve figured out a new way to twist your spells, your studies giving you a wider breadth of knowledge to pull from.

Signature Spell Slots

Every time you achieve a new Spell Slot Tier via your Caster Levels, you gain a specialized Signature Spell Slot Tier for that tier of Spell Rank.

Any spell you have access to from you Spell Library or Spell Repertoire can be added to those Signature Slots, as long as they share the same base rank as that Signature Slot (e.g. Faultless Fusillade can go into 1st rank Signature Slot, but not a 2nd Rank or higher rank Signature Slot). These slots are assigned when you gain them, and every time you complete a Long Rest.

Using Signature Spells

Once per Long Rest, per Spell Rank Tier, you can cast any of those Signature Spells once without consuming any resources. The Signature Spell will always be of the Spell Rank Tier's rank on use.

Additionally, Signature Spells are considered always known/prepared for you. As such, they can be used with other spell slots you have.

As an example: if you have Barrier, Invisibility and Fireball prepared in those Signature Slots, you can cast them all once per Long Rest for free, but only at those spell rank tiers without augmenting them ⤴Up or ⤵Down. Barrier will be a 1st rank spell, Fireball will be a 3rd rank spell, etc.
