Ability Description

You snap your shield in place, or throw up a guard, to ward off a blow.

You take less damage against the next attack or source of damage that would hit you, equal to your Half-Proficiency.

If you have a shield equipped, and/or you are using an ability or item with the Safeguard⚙️ trait; you take less damage equal to your half proficiency + 1d6 ↗⤴.

Damage is calculated after resistance and reductions.

 

Augmentation + other notes

↗/Augmented by Level: This ability's bonus damage reduction increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).

⤴/Augment Up: For every resource point spent in this ability, you take an less 1d6 damage.
