Action: Grapple Action | ◈

Using a Grapple Action, you attempt to grab an enemy.   You must be within 5 ft of the creature to grab them, making an Athletics check vs an opposing Athletics or Acrobatics check.   Creatures that are grabbed gain the, you guessed it, Grappled. As per the grappled condition, the grappled creature:  
  • Has their Movement reduced to 0 (preventing them from doing things like Standing.
  • Cannot use anything with the Dashing trait.
  • Cannot use the Rush Action | ◈◈ or the Stride Action | ◈, and cannot benefit from any movement bonuses from anything.
  • Cannot use abilities with a Somatic component, due to their movement being restricted.
  They can attempt to escape once per turn, on their turn(s), the both of you rolling opposing skill checks again. If they roll higher, they escape. They can also escape if you or they are forcefully moved or displaced.
