The Strays
This article is above all a homage to my favourite strays. I hope you like what I have made of you, even if the article is far from finished.
The Strays are a mixed Go-Gang, which is mainly active in Germany and Italy. Despite the very large geographical distances in some cases, the cohesion within the group is very strong. Attacking one of them can easily mean turning the whole group against you.
Structure
The structure of the Strays is quite loose, even though there are some people within the group whose voice carries more weight. All in all, formalities such as ranking or similar are something that is important, especially outwardly, and seems to have no meaning within the Strays.
The official leader of the Strays is an elven adept known as Vedova Nera. As with most of the Strays, only the mask under which she appears in public is known about her.
Outside the leadership, to which besides Vedova some other Strays belong, the group always comes together to loose connections, called "packs". Here the stationary and the nomadic packs, which travel back and forth between the different places where the strays have interests, differ from each other.
It is easily possible to change from a stationary to a nomadic pack and back again, if the circumstances of the member require it. Only at fixed, group-internal rites the presence of all members is expected and assumed.
Species
Unlike many gangs, the strays are not bound to a specific breed. Led by an elven adept, who is supported by humans, the clientele is mixed. There are even rumors that there are at least two shape-shifters within the group.
Assets
The main interests of the strays are the music industry, breweries and nightclubs. Their sphere of influence includes some established clubs in southern Germany and Italy, as well as some renowned breweries that are independent from the larger corporations.
Beyond these venues, the Strays are mainly seen as supporters of young, independent bands and solo artists, such as "Howling Wolves", a German cybercore band.
