Cybersoft Incorporated

Cybersoft is a corporation that has its roots in the large technology and medical corporations of the late 20th century. After the Millennium Crash , these companies were combined under the "Cybersoft" group. Today, Cybersoft is considered the second largest corporation in the world and is the market leader in Cybertech and grid technologies. Its special focus is on headware.

Today the group operates over 90% of the official clinics and cyber shops worldwide. The hardware is regarded as highly resilient, well configured and powerful.

Structure

Compared to other corporations of the same size, Cybersoft has a fairly flat corporate hierarchy, controlled from its headquarters in San Francisco. Each branch of the group is responsible for a specific, regional area, where it independently represents and enforces the group's interests. Only the line of research is determined by the parent company in San Francisco.

Cybersoft America

If you say Cybersoft America, you also have to add San Francisco and Silicon Valley. From here, the entire corporation is controlled, research is coordinated and marketing campaigns for the upcoming new toys are planned.

Cybersoft America is under the control of CEO Dr Natalia Andrescu, an Elf who already excelled in the 80s by massively promoting cyberware experiments on volunteers.

Volunteers, my ass! The bitch and her gang of cyber witches have taken several patients with mental illness, chemically castrated them to better control them and then provided them with untested Cybertech. No one has survived the funny experiments of Dr Strange Witch and her coven of abominations.

Faye

Take it easy, sweetie. Karma can be a real bitch, and it's an open secret over here that this lovely elf is not quite clear in her head. It is said that even subordinates aspire to the oh-so-incontrovertible throne.

Ademal

Apparently the Hippocratic Oath can be a bitch too, huh Faye? Jealous because you can't do experiments on anyone?

Avenging Angel

Cybersoft Europe

In Europe, the corporation mainly maintains research facilities and production sites, most of which are located in Eastern Europe. However, in Germany, especially in the area around Nuremberg the company is trying to gain a foothold with biotech, Cybertech and genetic modifications, something that local corporations do not like.

Cybersoft Europe is managed by Amanda Fischer, an elf whose age is difficult to determine as she is one of the most avid consumers of her company's genetic modifications

Cybersoft Asia

The strongest market in terms of sales, apart from the American continent, is definitely Asia. Cybernetic improvements and the associated increase in performance have been best received here, but the quality of the ware is also the worst here.

Cybersoft Asia is under the control of Li Mei Ruan, a Chinese Human female who is in her 50s. There are rumours going around that link her to an internal conspiracy within the company, but Ruan can't really be proven to be involved.

Rumors are good, the woman is said to have a "cash box freelancer" as big as the budget of some medium-sized states in the region.

Assets

The corporation's greatest assets are its patents and the subsidiaries that hold them. The group is too extensive to list everything here, so we'll focus on the cream of the crop in the portfolio.

Cybercal Operator

CyberMed

CyberMed is the largest operator of hospitals worldwide. The 100% subsidiary of Cybersoft exclusively uses Cybertech from its parent company.

Especially in Germany, however, they are increasingly facing competition from smaller companies, which surprisingly always have to struggle with problems, such as marauding gangs.

Cybersoft Integrated Systems

CIS is also one of the corporate subsidiaries and has focused on the development and production of headware. The decks from this company take up less space in the skull, work seamlessly with the tech of other Cybersoft subsidiaries and are unattainably expensive for most of us.

Cybersoft LoCal

Cybersoft would not be the company we all love and fear if they had not recognized the problem with the many customers without money - and eliminated it long ago. Cybersoft LoCal is based in Hong Kong and produces slimmed-down versions of CIS hardware at ridiculously low prices. If you can overlook the poor performance, LoCal hardware is the tool of choice for many newcomers and beginners to the Grid.

GeneSoft

GeneSoft is a subsidiary of the Cybersoft corporation, which has focused entirely on genetic research and manipulation. Although this is officially made public mainly in life-prolonging treatments, there are more than enough rumours about experiments on unborn children to have them born with cybertech that grows with them. If these rumours are confirmed, the shop will soon blow up in the face of the company.

Interesting approach. You're really deep-diving into that dark, dystopian and corporate cyberpunk, which is nice to see again. In my own world, corporations are still fighting each-other for dominance and no one has managed to really take the throne in such totality as Cybersoft.   Then again, the world did end and most corporations lost pretty much everything.   One thing I would like to see in your articles are excerpts on links. They help give the reader a quick glimpse into what is in the link wihtout having to go there to read an entire article and leave the one they're currently in.
