Mysterious artifact

We're always careful to leave no signs of our journey through the worlds we explore, but sometimes we accidentally leave pieces of technology. I encountered one of these pieces of technology in Kra, but I didn't dare to get it back to my planet.
The city of Armogra is apparently known for its scholars and researchers, which work in a building they call "The Archives". The surface floor is full of clay tablets and some very expensive skins. The underground chambers, however, contain several items that are constatly being studied by these scholars. One of these items is what they call a mysterious bracelet. In reality, this is a portable shield from Minama that can be used to create a force field around its wearer.
Needless to say, they haven't figured out how it works or where it comes from. Thousands of years will pass before they get the technology required to crack it down —and at this point, it won't matter anymore.

I tried to recover the portable shield... I wasn't exactly successful. In my defence, I will say that I had to use prehistorical methods and avoid channeling at all costs. Being so dependent on modern technology didn't help, unfortunately. Apparently, the lack of a full bone structure in my trunk was too obvious.

A present from the gods

Apparently, the scholars who have studied this mysterious artifact most closely believe that it comes from one of the singers. However, since no priest seems to be able to use it to channel energy, the general consensus is that the singer wanted to gift their society with knowledge beyond their comprehension. It's an easy way to justify ignorance, I suppose.
