Daemon grass cuisine

SUMMER CAMP WARNING!

While daemon grassherba daimonera is mostly known for its strong reactions on daemonsdaimonis as well as its uses in strengthening the daemonic bond, it's also, quite surprsingly, used in cuisine. Most of these recipes are part of cultures in the Americas, but some of them have found their way to Europe and other parts of the world.

Recipes

Salad

Salads with daemon grass are very tasty thanks to the plant's natural sweet and subtly sour taste, but they're also quite dangerous. Daemons feel an instinctive attraction to daemon grass, and while the effects of the plant aren't as strong after it's harvested, they can still make for a very fun and exciting experience.

Soup

Daemon grass loses all of its special properties when boiled, so this soup is probably the most boring of all of these recipes. However, boiling it also increases its taste, to the point where tasting it might be worth having a grumpy daemon for the next couple of hours!

Pasta

Daemon grass pasta exists—similar to ravioli, it looks like little bags made out of paste with raw daemon grass inside. Great cooks can make it so the plant doesn't completely lose its properties, which makes it an acceptable compromise between a deamon and their human. When a restaurant serves this dish, you can often see the deamon trying to convince the human to let them eat the inside of the ravioli.

This is probably one of the weirdest records in my journals. Who had the idea to make traditional food out of drugs for your soul? I could walk straight for two days after writing this entry.

I just love the idea of a daemon trying to convince their human to let them have the inside of the ravioli. XD

Loved the whole thing, but the line that made me LOL for realz was "to the point where tasting it might be worth having a grump daemon for the next couple of hours."

There are so many interesting directions for this. What kind of affects does daemongrass have when the human consumes it instead of the daemon? Was this developed as a way to allow daemons to experience the effects with less potancy?

Thanks for reading! And good questions. Daemongrass doesn't affect humans directly, but when a human eats it, the daemon will get some of the symptoms, although they'll be quite mild. Part of the reason it was developed, as you say, is that they have less potency, so it's a good alternative. But it's also a good way for humans to enjoy it with daemons, it strengthens their daemonic bond, and it tastes great!
