Rafa might be the best Yashelin healer, but no one knows the Caso Flock better than Petal. Petal is the administrative brain behind the organization of the flock.
Rafa desperately needed a Yashelin that they could trust to ensure the moral and organizational integrity of zir healers. Despite the fact that Petal was just shy of 50 years old at the time, they boldly approached Rafa. Rafa welcomed them into zir flock with open arms. They began training under Rafa's direct tutelage from a young age, long before the flock system was ever formalized. Petal has never strayed for a moment ever since, certain that they had found where they belonged.
Petal was created by the Ida at the same moment the Aravun calendar was formally established. While the Aravun Yashelin understand the absence of an object, they do not traditionally include the number zero in their calculations. Therefore, Petal and the Aravun Calendar both started at Year 1.
Petal places a lot of importance on their work-life balance. They are the partner of Coran and Seri, two individuals with equally busy lives of their own. At home, their number one rule is that work is left at the doorstep, even for their colleagues. They pride themself on their ability to support others, especially the children they have helped raise over the years.

Petal is a lithe Yashelin with brown skin beneath a thick layer of light, mint green feathers. Wherever they go, they carry themself with the grace and confidence of someone certain of themself and their place in the world. Their wings and build are perfect for generalist flight; passable at all types of flying but expert at none of them.

Truth Telling

Truth telling is the ability to parse out fact from fiction. Petal can distinguish between whether someone is telling the whole truth, part of the truth, or not telling the truth at all. They cannot tell how a person is lying or what they are omitting, however. In order to ascertain whether or not someone is lying on purpose or genuinely believe in a falsehood, they have taken to asking, "Are you sure?" before proceeding.

Integrity

A compulsion that drives Petal to seek out security and certainty in their life. It also drives them to want to support others in their search for their own "integrity."
