Bee, formally known as Ibij, is a Yashelin doctor who specializes in research and pediatrics. He is the last of the Idin Yashelin, the 5000th person created by the Ida.
Don't let this 'baby' of the idin's friendly-but-timid personality fool you: this Yashelin packs quite the punch. Not only is he capable of getting to the meat of the issue in the examination room, he is also the most vocal opponent of the Defenders of Creation. Only a few Yashelin are more politically divisive, but he is the only one that has never been subjected to exile.

Bee isn't so severely underestimated because of the carelessness of those around him. He has unintentionally honed his power of social invisibility over the years. He exudes a complacent feeling in those who are around him, making them less likely to notice him. In turn, the complacency of his community has given him a self-depricatory streak a mile wide.

Shock Value

In part aided by his social invisibility, Bee has the ability to forcefully catch the attention of others. This is his least honed skill due to his learned timidity and underestimation, but when he does, this power ensures that people listen when circumstances are dire.
He is uncertain about its applications in mundane scenarios, however. What he doesn't realize is that this power is the reason he was drawn to the intellectual challenge of medicine in the first place. He also wound up specializing in difficult social groups, like the otherwise healthcare avoidant Serayin and, later and most lovingly, children. They challenge his skills, and he challenges them.
