Quasqueton Room #37 - Recreation Room

Purpose / Function

This room is designed for recreation and training. It was specifically designed by Rogahn the Fearless to keep in good health and fitness.

Design

This room is roughly 60ft across on the northern and southern walls, the eastern and western walls span roughly 20ft.

Entries

To the south is a doorway leading to the connecting hallways. The door itself is ornately designed and contains a large "R" inscribed.

Sensory & Appearance

This room is open and spacious.

Contents & Furnishings

On the east and west walls, which are covered with pocked wood, are large archery targets, and six arrows are still stuck into the eastern target.
Although there are several quivers of arrows around, there are no bows in the room.

There are several iron bars of varying length and weight in one corner of the room. These vary in circumference, and are apparently designed for weight lifting.

In another corner of the room, a metal bar is attached to the two walls and is about 7' off the floor. Nearby, a rope is suspended from the ceiling 20' above. Except for two heavy benches and a single stool, there are no furnishings in the room other than five heavy woven mats lying atop each other to form a sort of floor cushion measuring 20' by 20'.

Hanging on the wall are several very heavy weapons which appear normal but which weigh almost double normal weight:

  • a flail,

Leaning against the wall are two heavily battered shields.

Architecture

This room is a long and rectangular in shape. It's designed to allow many people to train without interfeering with eachother.
