It is easier when things are static,
when things don't change on you,
when things stay the same...

New people come in and cause drama,
come in and want new things,
come in and move your cheese...

They say growth will be good,
but forget to say greed can come along too,
and omit to say you'll be expected to keep up...

I hear the call of the forest, I'll live there,
where the trees stay in one place,
where things follow one cycle together.

Journal of a Ranger

Excerpts taken from the Journal of a Ranger

Attribution: Devin Spring

Age Estimate: 11 years

Journal, Personal

Background: Devin arrived in Etonia with the rest of the Etonia Council but as the city grew he grew restless. He had a generally gruff demeanor that his journal excepts relay but he was always a source of compassionate direction for the Council. He left for the forest when plans for the city wall were finalized. He has not been seen for many years but his influence on the Council is still clear.
