My 1st Wildlands one-shot is published! Check Out Mystery of Thorngage Manor

"Boss? Miss Lavani? I am locked out again."

The sound of boots echoed down the hallway. The mayor already had her coat over her shoulders.

"Mister Zipper, what are we to do with you?" She teased.

Zipper didn't catch the playfulness in her tone, "I can't believe I haven't learned it yet."

"Not a problem. Let's go over it again." The mayor pulled the door shut behind them.

As they stepped off the porch the mayor waved her hand over her head. Purple and red light flashed when rain fell into the spell above their heads. A sheet of rain slid off the edges around them. Around the side of the town hall they stopped in front the flower bed. With a smile the mayor pulled up her hood and jumped out into the rain.

"Ooo! It's cold." She laughed. "Three to the right, but each time around is four steps. Top, right, bottom, left. Do a spin or your feet will get all tangled up. Left foot, right foot, spin to left foot, right foot, spin again to the top. On the third time around, reverse. One time to the left." She paused a moment.

Zipper copied the motion under the magic umbrella.

"Ok, then we pat the Calendula. shake the Daisy's hand - or leaf," She giggled. "Then step on the rock so you don't fall in when the door opens!"

The ground in the middle of the flower bed shook and rippled, as dirt jostled to the side the door to Zipper's house became visible.

"Tada!" The mayor declared. "Whoo! Now I'm soaked. See you tomorrow Mr. Zipper!"

Zipper smiled. "It's going to stick this time, boss!"
