Mages
The Mages are not one specific race, but rather a conglomeration of all species and races with magical abilities. They mainly live on Magmator and most of the ruling class consists of Mages.
To the naked eye, they seem ordinary, but when these gifted Mages come in contact with a Fusion Crystal, their irises glow a deep purple color. This phenomenon is called the Fusion Opti-Chromakinesis effect. While children in all the major cities are tested for this reaction at birth, those born in rural areas are sometimes overlooked and only discover their magical abilities when they begin to manifest in early adolescence. Unfortunately, in recent years implantable biotech lenses have been surfacing on the black market that are able to artificially recreate this phenomenon, so the only true sign of a Mage these days is a red star-shaped blood vessel hidden inside the left lower eyelid.
To become a full member of the Mage's Guild, apprentices must travel to the different planets to master the control of the elements and hone their skills.
On Eloria they learn to control the element of air, on Nyrix the element of water, on Cruunus they master the art of hand-to-hand combat and battle strategies, on Zater 9NQ5 they complete academic studies and on Magmator they learn how to control the elements of fire, ice, and earth.

The Prophecy of the Unmentioned
The Elder Mage Transis the 3rd, around 50 years ago, had a vision in one of his foretelling dreams. A young Mage will be born, not out of the Mages, but from a peasant woman who was gifted with the power of "The Gift of Convergence". She was not able to use this gift, due to unforeseen circumstances, but her son, who will be born when the Black Star rises, will have the gift to cross all classes and bring about unity amongst all. This is just a "folk tale" to most. But is it? The next Black Star is in 1 230 days!
