Whistle of Oobur (Oo-Bur)

This intricately carved wooden whistle is adorned with delicate patterns resembling intertwining vines and leaves. When blown, the Whistle of Oobur emits a soft, melodic tune that resonates with an otherworldly harmony.

Origin

Lost in the annals of time, the true origins of the whistle remain a mystery. Whispers in ancient libraries speak of an elven bard who, fearing the shadows that lurked in the world, commissioned the whistle as a protective charm for their child venturing into the unknown. Yet, as with many relics of old, its true story is as elusive as the ethereal notes it produces.

History

There is talk of an ancient kingdom that exists close to where present day Tarmu and Lakemere sit. Whispers refer to the kingdom as Verenthia. From what records have been found Verenthia was likely an epicenter for the arts, and music. Rumors say that one night an eerie sound was heard by all through out Vernethia before it vanished, the lake of Lament's Echo appearing in it's place.

After setting off in search of the truth, of what happened to the great city of Verenthia, I found nothing more then a lake of echos and whispers in it's place. Days I combed the shores searching for any hint of the city or those that one inhabitted it, and found nothing more than a wooden whistle etched with intricate patterns that seem to writhe and twist, reminiscent of ancient vines and leaves from forgotten forests.

When I played the instrument, hoping it was some sort of key, the melody seemed to echo from another realm. The tune lingered in the air, ensnaring my senses with its eerie harmony. Looking out over the lake a shadow of the city, the melody hauntingly calling for them. Whispers surrounded me, calling, warning.

Harmonious Call

As an action, you can blow the whistle to create a harmonious melody. All creatures of your choice within a 30-foot radius who can hear the melody regain hit points equal to 1d4 plus your Charisma modifier. This ability can be used once, and the whistle regains its magical energy after a long rest.

Summoning Echoes

By blowing the whistle in a specific sequence of short and long notes, you can use it to summon an echo of Oobur, an ancient spirit of tranquility. This can be done once per day. When the summoning sequence is correctly performed, an incorporeal figure resembling a serene elven bard appears in a space within 10 feet of you.
The Oobur Echo remains present for up to 1 hour or until dismissed by you as a bonus action. It can't attack or deal damage, but it offers wisdom and guidance in the form of soothing whispers.
While the echo is present, any creature within 30 feet of it has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Insight) checks.
The Oobur Echo can communicate with you telepathically, providing insights about your surroundings or offering advice. However, it can't predict the future or provide information it doesn't possess.
If the Oobur Echo is ever more than 30 feet away from the whistle, it dissipates, returning to the ethereal plane.
