A vision from Fate to Galena

As you fall asleep, you get a very strange sensation, one that feels rather familiar at first, like you're going to training with Alynys.  And as you give into the feeling, you realize you're not going to training.

Instead you're in an office opposite of Ink.  You see yourself giving the ring to Ink.  The vision changes and you see Nori and you arguing then Nori giving it to him.  Then Miariah, Velvet, Abraxas....Ink finding the ring himself.

The vision changes.

Red and Green.  Two massive forests, with a city between.  A place you're not personally familiar with.  One that feels famaliar to what you've heard described.  To what you read they left behind in the Migration.

Ink. Stein.  Alynys.  An army of those that you have come to care about at their back.

Opposite of them you see two individuals who look like older versions of Ink.  One furious.  One with a look of fear and aprehension on their face.  An elf next to them, scared.

A battle ensues.  You watch as the battle starts to look bleak.  Those you have started to love loosing.  Mael falls.  Nori looses control.

You watch on as you see Ink survey the field around him.  He raises his hand, a familiar looking ring on his finger.  The world around you shakes.  Errupts.  The city, the forests, the armies turn to cinders before you.

A moment passes, then another as Ink blinks.  He looks around, realizing that he has won.

From behind you you hear a familiar voice.  "But at what cost?"

You turn around and see a forlorn Alynys standing there.

"It always ends the same, you know.  Ink getting the ring.  It always ends in our death, and the destruction of the home we've been so desperate to return to.  Very few on the Material Planes can wield this ring, even with part of a gods soul, he wasn't strong enough."
