Agitated Intense Delirium Shock is a condition that only affects those of fae ancestry. The condition is common on fae and elves who frequently travel between the fae realm and the material plane. There have been accounts of this condition affecting citizens of the material plane over the last 2,000 years according to the For Storia Calendar. As far as Milleadh is concerned the condition is a naturally occuring situation.

How do I get Agitated Intense Delirium Shock?

ID is caused by being to exposed to to much madness. This is particularly common amoung those with fae heritage who spend the majority of their time on the material plane.

Common causes include plane walking between the Fae Realm and the material plane frequently, or being exposed to frequently to Zumren madness.

How is ID cured?
There are two common ways for ID being cured. The easiest option is to simply wait it out with no magic usage, this is often the best solution when it occurs from traveling to and from the Fae Realm.

ID can cause magic from the infected to become wild without warning. the infected's eye color will darken, and they may attack allies without warning.

ID is not a contangeous condition, however it can be dangerous for those around the infected.

How common is it?

Coming down with ID while not severely uncommon is a severe inconvenience to magic users, and those whose occupation requires frequent to the Fae Realm. The disease has become slightly less common since the destruction of the Zumren family and their cult.

Development

Every individual of Fae Ancestry is predisposed to the disease, because of the Zumren's connection to both the Fae, and Madness. Due to this predisposition, it is near impossible for an individual who has activated the disease to be treated early. The earliest sign that healers have been able to identify is the darkening of an individuals eyes.

Recovery

Most individuals end up in a anti-magic collar and bound to the material plane for approximately 4 weeks. This is difficult for wizards and cleric who travel between the planes frequently, but a reason that many magic practioners who work in this area work in teams and rotate out individuals frequently to avoid to much exposure and reduce the risk of a team member coming down with the condition.
